As I do have my password, I do have my backup email address, I do have my backup number, I have my old password. But it would still be nice if Google offered more help in this area. I understand, Google has no monetary incentive (even though I'm paying for YouTube Premium) to hire people that offer help to get into accounts because most people aren't really paying them for an account, and also Google holds more private information, etc. Most Importantly GOOGLE - Other services DO offer help with people not being able to sign into their account, such as Uber:

So anyone who will be setting these things up, use a password manager, SAVE YOUR BACKUP CODES in a place you will not forget them, and use an authenticator app. I agree with everything u/iwantgizm0s just said.

But hopefully these guys might be able to port your number over to another carrier like T-mobile or something to recover your verification code.*Note: you are supposed to login to your Google Voice account and "Unlock" your number in order to port it out, so calling Broadband to port it out might not work unless you have it Unlocked within your Google Voice Account, but might be worth a call just to see. I was given a phone number from a company that handles porting phone numbers over for, and they said that a company that handles GV port issues "Broadband- 8558647776" might be able to help port your Google Voice number to another carrier (I did not contact them because they were closed all 4th of July weekend). So I am not sure if there is a problem with the recovery flow process, or why exactly we need them if Google doesn't ask for them during recovery). (I found this thread with this guy having the same issue: and Google did not ask him for his backup email or backup phone number or backup codes either. The final email from Google turned off 2FV, gave me a direct sign in link so I can go in and advised me to change my recovery phone number (I still didn't see anywhere it said not to use a GV# lol) Maybe it was the 3 try for an Account recover request? I did it a second time, and I got an email with the same thing. Its tough to say.Īnd lastly, I still don't know exactly what triggered the actual Account Recover Request since I previously initiated my request and it was denied and cancelled because it said "Account recovery canceled because you're signed in". IDK if thats why I was able to get email, or if because I changed the password on this same machine.

+ I was given access the next day after changing my password to my email via IOS Mail client somehow still without having to do 2FV: This mail client is on a virtual machine that is based on old IOS software HighSierra. Ok so I got into my account! 1 caveat that made my situation unique: 👇🏼 Pictures of the only process and options I'm given no matter what I click.

I can't get a hold of anyone even for their YouTube Premium service which I am going to have to figure out how to cancel without being able to login. In case you haven't noticed, Google doesn't have a number to get a hold of anyone. The only option I have is to pray Google can actually help and not try to lead me to a rabbit hole that leads to nowhere. Google does not give me any other options to login such as backup email, security questions, or backup phone numbers.

I have tried to port the number out to T-Mobile so I can receive a code to login to Google, but I don't think this will work because I have to login & "Unlock" the number to port it out. Luckily I am signed in on an old computer somehow still and am able to get email but I cannot login to Google anywhere because I cannot access my GV#.

I initiate and walk through this process and get an automated email from Google saying, "Account recovery canceled because you're signed in". The only other option I am given to log into my Google accounts is Account Recovery. When trying to login to anything Google, 2-step verification asks me for the code it sent to my Google Voice number which I obviously cannot access. After changing my password, which I have NOT forgotten, I was logged out of all my Google Voice (GV) accounts everywhere.
